8 Great Football Shirts To Gift In 2021
An exotic football shirt is one of the best football gifts out there. And if you choose well, your shirt will be more than just a present. It’ll be a conversation starter - just like our personalised football cards!
To help you choose, we’ve collected 12 of the most eye-catching kits from the 2021/22 season. So you can wow a football fan or add a couple to your collection.
We’re based in the UK, so we decided no Premier League or Scottish Premiership kits were allowed. After all, we wanted to keep things interesting. Plus, we wouldn’t wear a rival team’s shirt!
Let's kick on and look at the first football shirt on our wish list.
Inter Milan Home Kit
Inter have had some banging kits over the years. So it’s no surprise their 2021/22 range is top notch as well.
This year’s home kit is ambitious design in more ways than one. First of all, they’ve overhauled the club badge to a more modern look. Not to mention the dragon scale pattern that still manages to echo the famous Blue and Black stripes.
There’s a lot going on here, and we think it’s pretty damn good. We’re sure the football lover in your life will think the same.
Venezia Home Kit
Let’s stay in the north of Italy and pay homage to Venezia’s home kit. The Serie A new boys have built a reputation for stellar shirts in the last few years. And they haven’t let the side down at all this season.
For the real culture vultures out there, Venezia’s home shirt will score high. First of all, the logo looks like something from a high fashion house. Not to mention the design elements inspired by Venice’s architecture and history.
Even better, there isn't a huge sponsor splashed on the front. Just the team name. We love that and think it just about caps this one off. A sublime effort.
Ajax Third Kit
A few years ago, Ajax fans picked up Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds as an unofficial anthem. It’s now played at every Ajax game. And to celebrate the love affair, Adidas dropped a special Bob Marley kit for Ajax this season.
This shirt made huge waves on Twitter as soon as it launched. In our mind, it’s an instant classic and might even be a collectible in years to come. If you put this in a fan’s stocking this Christmas, everything will definitely be alright!
Atletico Mineiro Special Kit
For our money, this special edition kit from Atletico Mineiro is the coolest shirt out of Brazil this year.
This kit was designed by a fan and features a detailed map of Atletico Mineiro’s home state. Le Coq Sportif pulled off the concept brilliantly, and that colour scheme - oh boy. A real collector’s item.
Bayern Munich Third Kit
We need to talk about Bayern’s third kit.
This one features the snowy Bavarian Alps on Munich’s doorstep. Which makes for a lovely shirt full of local spirit. Ambitious designs like this sometimes end up looking awful. But this one’s rather nice.
PSG Third Kit
PSG’s 2021 front line of Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi could go down in history. So it’s a good thing they have some pretty swish kits to match.
We particularly like the understated style of the Third kit. Which looks more like casual fashion wear than a football kit.
FC Porto Away Kit
We love the classy colour scheme and pattern on this one. Apparently it’s called Maritime Blue, which sounds way cooler than boring old Navy.
Nigeria Home
International kits don’t usually have sponsors. Which is great if you don’t like the idea of parading a company’s logo on your belly.
When it comes to national team kits, Nigeria always bring the heat. And their new home strip from Nike is pretty wavy.
Ready, Steady, Gift!
Any one of these shirts could make a football fan's Christmas or Birthday extra special. Especially if you combine it with one of our awesome real life football cards.
